Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing assessments of patients’ physical and psychological needs.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and patient charts.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing patient conditions.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the State of Florida.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required (or willingness to obtain).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Compassion: Demonstrated empathy and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and computer technology.
