Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems, needs, and recovery progress by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians according to approved nursing procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient assessments and physician orders.
- Monitor patient conditions and report significant changes to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, healthcare management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred).
- Valid, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Arizona.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
- Commitment to patient safety, ethical standards, and evidence-based practice.
