Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough physical assessments and monitor patient conditions to identify changes in health status.
- Care Implementation: Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and nursing standards of care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records and patient charts in compliance with hospital policies.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, post-care instructions, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and assist in stabilizing patient conditions.
- Flexible Support: Adapt to various nursing units and shift requirements to meet patient care demands.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing school (ADN or BSN) required.
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
- Experience: No prior clinical experience required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Interpersonal: Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered attitude.
- Schedule: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
