Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Adhere to all state and federal healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in New York or Illinois.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience (New Grats welcome with bridge programs).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficiency in using EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
