Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized, evidence-based care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and established hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and conditions continuously, responding promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Document patient progress, clinical findings, and interventions accurately and timely in electronic health records.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide clear and compassionate education to patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and self-care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment that adheres to all safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of New Mexico.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
