Job Summary
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, assessing health needs, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient recovery. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise and compassionate communication.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with nursing standards.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures accurately while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
- Document patient responses to treatment and care activities in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) in a timely and precise manner.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other specialists to coordinate seamless patient care transitions.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and preventative health measures.
- Monitor vital signs and clinical indicators, intervening immediately during emergencies or sudden changes in condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment that promotes infection control.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and staff.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
