Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and in compliance with hospital protocols and state regulations.
- Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatments, promptly escalating concerns to physicians.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medication safety, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Ensure compliance with all Joint Commission standards and hospital safety policies.
Qualifications
- Current, valid RN license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
