Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Conduct thorough physical assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments with precision, adhering to all safety protocols and physician orders.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, alerting physicians to any changes in condition immediately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely electronic health records (EHR) documenting patient progress and interventions.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to ensure holistic patient care.
- Advocacy: Serve as a strong advocate for patients, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are respected throughout their stay.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the State of California.
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Availability: Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
