Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing interventions.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and preventative health measures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to patient emergencies and code blue situations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and nursing research.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (depending on specialty).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
