Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by interviewing patients, performing physical exams, and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop and implement patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Monitor patients' conditions and record vital signs and medical information accurately.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care and improve outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, medications, and self-care techniques.
- Respond to medical emergencies and perform interventions as needed to stabilize patients.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred but not required).
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume medical environment.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
