Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition immediately to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records and documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively, prioritizing patient safety at all times.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Tennessee.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience preferred (New graduates with exceptional clinical rotations will be considered).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure and professionalism.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
