Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes in patient condition to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure holistic patient care and effective discharge planning.
- Document patient care activities, interventions, and responses accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized patient environment to prevent infections and accidents.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- Current and active RN license issued by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred (New graduates may be considered).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a diverse healthcare team.
