Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in ER, ICU, or Med-Surg units based on assignment
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
- Monitor patient vital signs and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Educate patients and families on post-discharge care instructions
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and hospital safety protocols
- Participate in rapid response and code blue emergencies
Qualifications
- Active IL RN license (or compact license with IL residency)
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- ACLS/BLS certifications (required within 30 days of hire)
- Minimum 1 year acute care experience
- EMR proficiency (Epic/Cerner preferred)
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
