Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs, develop, and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient health status by performing physical examinations and recording medical history, symptoms, reactions, and progress.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and document all interventions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and treatment plans.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations, applying critical thinking and rapid decision-making skills.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized nursing station and ensure compliance with all hospital protocols and regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Georgia.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting (New graduates with excellent clinical rotations are considered).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in using electronic health record systems (EHR) such as Epic or Cerner.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
