Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care: Perform comprehensive health assessments and develop individualized care plans tailored to patient needs.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments, strictly adhering to safety protocols and physician orders.
- Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to critical situations and medical emergencies within the unit.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and post-discharge care instructions.
Qualifications
- License: Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred; new graduates with a passion for learning are welcome.
- Skills: Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) and strong computer skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Compassion: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
