Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient conditions continuously and respond promptly to any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient medical history, symptoms, progress, and care provided accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (new graduates welcome with relevant internship experience).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, families, and staff.
