Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly identifying and reporting any changes or emergencies.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity.
- Document patient care activities, symptoms, progress, and outcomes accurately in electronic health records.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and care management.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license issued by the State of Missouri.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or medical setting preferred.
- CPR/BLS certification (ACLS and PALS preferred depending on unit).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift patients as necessary.
- Demonstrated ability to use electronic medical records and medical equipment.
