Responsibilities
- Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing comprehensive nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and according to hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and response to treatment, promptly reporting any changes or complications to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care coordination.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed documentation of patient records and interventions.
- Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care interventions as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license issued by the State Board of Nursing in Arizona.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting patients and moving medical equipment.
