Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient progress, vital signs, and clinical status, adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care interventions accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond immediately to emergent situations and assist in code blue situations.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Minnesota.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association is required.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and staff.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
