Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, administering medications, and monitoring patient conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop individualized patient care plans.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner using electronic health records (EHR).
- Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills to respond to emergent situations and patient needs.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities provided by the residency program.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program within the last 12 months.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (or willing to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to patient advocacy and safety.
