Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care by assessing patient needs and administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Monitor vital signs and patient health status, reporting any significant changes to the charge nurse or physician immediately.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, procedures, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and clinical notes in accordance with hospital policies.
- Ensure a safe and clean patient environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Michigan.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required (or willing to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
