Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and following hospital protocols.
- Monitor patients' conditions and record vital signs and medical data accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to plan and evaluate patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and health maintenance.
- Respond to medical emergencies and assist in code blue situations.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program (Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification through the American Heart Association required.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred but not required for new hires.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift, stand, and walk for extended periods.
