Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on nursing standards.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, escalating critical issues immediately to the charge nurse or provider.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families regarding their health conditions and discharge planning.
- Collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless continuity of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all patient interactions and care provided in the EHR.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Indiana.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and maneuver patients of various sizes safely.
