Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and established protocols.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and update patient care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and response to interventions, adjusting care as necessary.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Ensure a safe and healing environment by adhering to infection control and safety regulations.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, active RN license issued by the State of California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, with Med-Surg or ICU experience a plus.
- Ability to work rotating weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday) with available overtime.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
