Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care including assessment, medication administration, and treatment interventions during overnight shifts
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to changes in condition
- Document patient information accurately in electronic health records
- Supervise LPNs and nursing assistants while maintaining quality standards
- Participate in emergency response protocols and rapid response teams
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital safety regulations
Qualifications
- Current Kentucky RN license or compact state license
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year acute care nursing experience
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours
- Experience with EMR systems (Epic preferred)
