Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care during the night shift, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status continuously, documenting all findings accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Respond promptly to emergency situations, initiating appropriate life-saving interventions and communicating effectively with the rapid response team.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and adjust individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a safe and sanitary environment, ensuring all infection control and safety standards are met at all times.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Certificate of Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or acute care setting.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Excellent communication skills and a commitment to patient advocacy.
