Responsibilities
- Provide direct, patient-centered care to a diverse patient population, including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vitals and conditions continuously, alerting the healthcare team to any changes or emergencies.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Assist in patient and family education regarding diagnosis, treatment, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment for patients.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas.
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing (ASN, BSN, or MSN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of nursing experience preferred, preferably in a hospital setting.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and handle emergency situations calmly.
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
