As a Night Shift RN, you will be the backbone of our patient care team, ensuring our patients receive the highest quality of care around the clock.
Responsibilities
- Assess Patient Needs: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patient health status to identify problems, needs, and strengths.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and legal standards.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team immediately.
- Emergency Response: Quickly respond to medical emergencies and initiate appropriate life-saving interventions when necessary.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and medical charts.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare staff to develop and implement patient care plans.
Qualifications
- License: Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred, with night shift experience highly valued.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, time management, and communication skills.
- Compassion: Demonstrated ability to provide empathetic and patient-centered care.
