Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patient health status, including pain levels and vital signs, throughout the night shift.
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and patient safety.
- Document patient records and care plans accurately and promptly to maintain compliance.
- Respond to medical emergencies and critical situations with composure and clinical expertise.
- Provide patient education and emotional support to patients and their families during the night hours.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinical setting, preferably on a night shift.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient-centered care.
