Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through comprehensive physical examinations and history taking.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and intervene immediately when necessary.
- Document all patient care activities, observations, and interventions accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide health education to patients and families to promote recovery and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development activities.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a night shift team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and departmental priorities.
