Responsibilities
- Assess and evaluate patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition or vital signs promptly.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and outcomes in electronic health records accurately.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
