Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assess patient conditions, administer medications, and assist with daily living activities under the supervision of senior staff.
- Vital Signs & Monitoring: Accurately monitor and record vital signs, pain levels, and patient responses to treatment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Infection Control: Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols to prevent the spread of infection.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on health management, medication compliance, and post-discharge care.
Qualifications
- Education: Must possess a current Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas, or eligibility to obtain licensure upon hire.
- Certification: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications preferred or required within 6 months of hire.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a strong emphasis on patient advocacy.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
