Responsibilities
- Provide Direct Patient Care: Assist patients with daily living activities, hygiene, and mobility under the supervision of senior nursing staff.
- Monitor Vital Signs: Regularly assess patient health by checking blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Administer Medications: Prepare and administer prescribed medications and treatments safely and accurately.
- Collaborate with Team: Work closely with physicians, charge nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Maintain Records: Document patient care activities, reactions, and medications administered in electronic health records (EHR).
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, post-care instructions, and disease prevention.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in the state of Texas.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Diploma graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred (training available).
