Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments of patient health status, including monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to the charge nurse immediately.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring all safety protocols and documentation standards are met.
- Hygiene & Care: Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and eating to ensure their comfort and dignity.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) for all assigned patients, including care plans and progress notes.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure continuity of care and address patient concerns.
- Infection Control: Strictly adhere to hospital hygiene protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to patient emergencies and assist in stabilizing patients until additional medical support arrives.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Nursing School with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred, or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Florida Board of Nursing.
- Experience: No prior experience required. We provide on-the-job training and mentorship for qualified candidates.
- Skills: Strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and proficiency in basic life support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Personal Traits: Compassionate nature, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
