Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments to monitor patient health and document vital signs accurately.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer prescribed medications and treatments while adhering to strict safety protocols.
- Clinical Support: Assist physicians and advanced practice providers during examinations and procedures.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Collaboration: Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure holistic patient care.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution.
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered RN license in the State of Texas.
- Experience: No prior experience required for New Graduates (we provide training!).
- Skills: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work well under pressure.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using electronic health record systems.
