Responsibilities
- Monitor patient health status by performing physical exams and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist physicians during examinations and medical procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients and their families on post-treatment home care.
- Document patient medical history and symptoms accurately in electronic health records.
- Respond to medical emergencies with rapid assessment and intervention.
Qualifications
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree, Diploma, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Compassionate demeanor with a strong commitment to patient safety and care.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
