Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status by performing physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and alert physicians or charge nurses of any significant changes.
- Document patient care plans, procedures, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records (EHR).
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and self-care techniques.
- Respond to emergency situations and assist with code blue activations as needed.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Licensure: Valid and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of New York.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
- Experience: New graduates (Graduate Nurses) are highly encouraged to apply; no prior facility experience required.
