Responsibilities
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
- Assist with the admission, transfer, and discharge of patients, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by providers, adhering to all safety protocols and hospital policies.
- Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- ACLS certification preferred (training provided).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
- Demonstrated compassion and a strong desire to learn and grow in the nursing field.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
