Responsibilities
- Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rates.
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Provide basic wound care and change dressings under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Transport patients to and from treatment areas, surgery, or other departments using wheelchairs or stretchers.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to report any changes in patient condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment at all times.
- Document patient care activities and interactions in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
Qualifications
- Current Florida State CNA Certification required.
- CPR/BLS (Basic Life Support) certification must be valid and up-to-date.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is mandatory.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient empathy.
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs for extended periods.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is highly preferred.
