Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor vital signs continuously.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and nursing standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to develop and update patient care plans.
- Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and changes in patient condition.
- Document all patient interactions, care provided, and observations accurately in electronic health records (EHR).
- Provide patient education and emotional support to families and patients.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control protocols.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Nebraska.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (new grads welcome).
- Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Commitment to patient privacy and confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
