Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing patient needs, implementing the nursing care plan, and evaluating patient outcomes. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise and a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, intervening promptly when changes occur.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and care provided accurately and timely.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team to optimize patient recovery.
- Educate patients and families on disease management, medications, and post-discharge care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Michigan.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
- Demonstrated ability to handle critical situations with composure and professionalism.
- Commitment to the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Computer literacy with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
