Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and response to treatments, documenting all changes accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, medication management, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in accordance with Joint Commission and state regulations.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care with a focus on safety and quality outcomes.
