Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates.
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers to and from beds/wheelchairs, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort.
- Document patient observations and promptly report any changes in condition or medical concerns to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in patient rooms and common areas.
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients, families, and the wider healthcare team.
Qualifications
- Current, active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in the state of Virginia.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or willingness to obtain upon offer).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs when assisting patients.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
