Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical needs.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly reporting any changes to the healthcare team.
- Document all patient interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Provide patient and family education to ensure understanding of treatment plans and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure holistic and effective patient care.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment in accordance with infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Nevada State Board of Nursing.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) for Healthcare Providers certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent clinical nursing experience preferred (Med-Surg or Telemetry background a plus).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume unit.
- Proficiency with computer systems and Electronic Health Records (EHR).
