Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Care Planning: Conduct thorough initial and ongoing assessments to develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Medication Administration: Safely administer medications and treatments in strict accordance with hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Vital Monitoring: Continuously monitor patient vital signs and notify the healthcare team immediately of any critical changes.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other staff to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal outcomes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely documentation in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, post-care instructions, and health promotion strategies.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue situations and medical emergencies with composure and skill.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license to practice in the state of Oregon.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required; PALS or CCRN preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Interpersonal: Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care and collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
- Computer Proficiency: Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
