Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and assess the health status of patients through physical exams and medical history reviews.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring all protocols and safety standards are met.
- Monitor patient vitals and update medical records accurately and timely in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Respond to medical emergencies with urgency and professional competence to ensure patient safety.
- Document patient progress and communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing supervisor or physician immediately.
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting (new graduates welcome with relevant externships).
- Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and medical staff.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift patients as needed, adhering to safety guidelines.
- Valid state identification and proof of eligibility to work in the USA.
