Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct thorough patient assessments and continuously monitor vital signs to ensure optimal health outcomes.
- Care Implementation: Execute patient care plans under the supervision of physicians and charge nurses, administering medications and treatments accurately.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) and clinical documentation in compliance with hospital policies.
- Communication: Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to provide clear and compassionate communication.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to code blue situations and medical emergencies within the department.
- Infection Control: Adhere strictly to hospital protocols regarding infection prevention and safety standards.
Qualifications
- License: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are mandatory.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, time management, and interpersonal communication skills.
