Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough health assessments and monitor patient conditions to identify changes in status.
- Medication Administration: Accurately administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with hospital protocols and regulations.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication usage, and preventative health strategies.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely medical records and patient charts.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current and valid Oregon Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Technology: Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
