Responsibilities
- Patient Assessment: Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical exams to evaluate patient needs and develop appropriate care plans.
- Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately while monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Collaborative Care: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and other staff to ensure holistic patient treatment.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA and hospital standards.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and critical situations within the unit.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and families on disease management, discharge instructions, and preventative care.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; RN-BC preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and assessment abilities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a focus on teamwork.
- Computer Proficiency: Ability to navigate Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems efficiently.
