Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs by performing comprehensive physical examinations and reviewing medical histories.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosages and monitoring for adverse reactions.
- Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, immediately reporting significant changes to the nursing supervisor or physician.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records, assessments, and interventions in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Educate patients on disease prevention, health promotion, and self-care strategies to improve long-term health outcomes.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or acute care setting preferred.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to remain calm and effective under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse patient populations.
